2010 Dues and Fees

Aberdeen Aqua Addicts Membership and Club Dues Information

The Aberdeen Aqua Addicts is an ever growing and self-improving non-profit organization. In order to facilitate self-improvement and support growth it is both important and necessary to establish and collect a membership fee. Water ski equipment, maintenance, gas, oil, etc. are an on-going expense for any water ski team. For the 2010 Water Ski season the membership dues and user fees are as follows:

Dues and membership for USA Water Ski must be done on the USA Water Ski website www.usawaterski.org.
Non-skiers may become members of the Aberdeen Aqua Addicts at no charge. However, anyone who participates on the water (boat drivers, spotters, riders, etc.), on the dock, or in the acts of the show must be an active member of USA Water Ski. We encourage all participating family members to become USA Water Ski members. Only USA Water Ski members are allowed voting privileges. All members must sign liability waivers located on the back of the Membership Application.

Trial Period:
Aqua Addicts will offer a trial period for potential new members. Each potential member will be allowed to ski for 3 days within a one week timeframe at no cost.

Alumni:
Previous members who are visiting from out-of-town, at the discretion of the board, can ski without paying membership fees under the following circumstances: *Skiing in shows - at the Show Director’s discretion and without taking the spot of a
paying team member who has been practicing with the team. *Three open days of skiing with no fees; additional time at the discretion of the Show
Director if the skier is helping with lessons.

Hardship:
If the membership fee creates a hardship, team members have the option to contact a Membership Committee member about a reduced membership. The membership committee will make a recommendation to the board for approval. The reduction must be approved by the board prior to skiing. This hardship reduction comes with the expectation that the member volunteers whenever possible for some type of work for the ski team (e.g. cleaning boats, setting up for shows, etc.). The skier would still be responsible for USA dues.
