In Memory of our fallen skiers

On May 21st Shawn Thorne died at a hospital in Fargo, ND following a multi vehicle accident near Mina, SD.

Shawn was an avid water skier and five-year member of the Aqua Addicts Water Ski Show Team. He also enjoyed wakeboarding and barefooting. In 2004, Shawn graduated from Ipswich High School where he had played football and qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament his senior year. Shawn had a sharp sense of humor and a contagious smile.

Shawn will be missed by all who knew him.

We are saddened by his lose in our lives and on our team. But we know that Shawn now skis where the water is always calm, the falls never hurt, and the double-ups are huge.

Nancy Chaplin ( - 2003)

Nancy and her daughter were on the Aqua Addicts Water Ski Team for several years during which time Nancy served as spotter, pinner and proud parent. Nancy was a 4th grade teacher at C.C. Lee Elementary School and enjoyed her job very much. Nancy passed away on a trip to Minneapolis, MN in November from a medical condition of which she was unaware. The student council at C.C. Lee organized fundraisers to purchase a munchkin for Munchkin Land at Storybook Land in Aberdeen in honor of Nancy and another teacher who passed away in 2002.
